Where turf will not survive
Artificial Grass
For deep shade, dog runs and roof terraces — properly based, properly drained.
We will talk you out of it if real turf would work, because it usually would. Where it genuinely will not — dense shade under mature trees, a north-facing yard, a dog run, a roof terrace — a well-based artificial surface beats bare mud. The base is the whole job: without it you get ripples inside a year.
How we do it
- 01
Strip
Existing surface removed to the depth the build-up needs.
- 02
Base
Sub-base and granite dust blinding, compacted and levelled to falls.
- 03
Lay
Grass rolled out, relaxed, cut in, joined and pinned.
- 04
Dress
Sand dressing brushed in, edges detailed against paving and beds.
